Dice unit for 2007 Prius

    I'm ready to instal my new dice unit, but I still have some questions. First one is do I have to disconnect the battery before installing unit ? Second question....where do I plug in the large{blue and purple wires} connector in ?

    You do not need to disconnect any battery, just be sure your car is off when you are connecting. Search on PC for DICE install and you'll find explicit directions. The plastic plug with the visible prongs slides into and locks into a socket on the back of the MFD; the matching plug with no prongs awaits your sat/HD radio at some future date. The little black rectangular plug goes into the DICE unit, as does the round mini-DIN connector on the iPod cable.

    It really only plugs together one way...

    You don't use the huge plug with only 2 wires on it - it's for really old Toyota's.

    Ha Bill....I think you meant that the plastic plug goes into the back of the stereo and not the displace unit {mfd}

    I got it last nite,it works great ......thanks guys.....

    Hello Shar,

    could you elaborate on "it works great" for me please? I am struggling with the DICE in my 2006... I was expecting to see track information on the MFD in DICE mode, but I don't. (The only difference between DICE mode and MP3 mode - that I can discern - is that DICE mode switches the iPod off/on in concert with the stereo being switched off/on.)

    Am I hoping for too much? :unsure:
