<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(lucyjeanne\";p=\"43431)</div> I think you want to have a link like this in your signature, right? Donate Points to Lucy Link In that case, you should use the following code in your signature: [.url=http://priuschat.com/forums/pointscp.php?mode=donate&u=2846]Donate Points to Lucy Link[./url] Please notice that you must remove the dots behind the [ brackets. Also notice that of course you already have a 'donate' link underneath your name, check out the screenshot below.
lucyjeanne: your generousity is only exceeded by your good humour and intelligence in being a Prius owner.... I thank you for the donation and will certainly return the favour when my point income improves. Gary
Alas, I have been a member for at least four months and you will note that my profile does not include the word "donate". Will some kind soul donate a point so my avatar will no longer have to be naked Thanks billyb
oooh Brother!! i think it was a huge mistake to give people the impression that we are in control of our point destiny...assuming of course that we all realize that the points sole purpose in life was to be available for DONATION to others. it is only then do we realize the true nature of our "point" calling.
OK--Bruce-- so why don't you have the hot button DONATE under your signature-- but Tony-- and alot others do have that button? What am I missing here???? I think I am the only one who does not "get it!!!!!" I give in.....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(billyb\";p=\"43577)</div> Billy, you DO have the hot button Donate in your signature column!!! I shall have to donate points to you so that you do not cry!!!!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Danny\";p=\"43467)</div> hold on for the ride, Danny... I think we are trying for a top 10 thread rating.... Bob Andersen
Hi Lucyjeanne I shall cry no more !!For your kindness I have donated 10 points to you !! I am naked no more !! Thanks billyb 8)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Batavier\";p=\"43643)</div> Man: Oh, points eh? Very nice. And how'd you get those, eh? By exploiting the Prius owners. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society. Batavier : I am your king. Woman : Well I didn't donate them to you. Batavier : You don't have to donate points. Man : Well how'd you get them then? [Angelic music plays... ] Batavier : Danny of the Prius, his keyboard clad in the purest shimmering samite wrote code from the depths of his mind, signifying by divine providence that I, Batavier, was to earn points. THAT is why I am your king! Man : [interrupting] Listen, strange men sitting in their living room distributin' points is no basis for a system of hierarchy. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical message board ceremony. You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some whacky guy threw points at you. Look, If I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened binny lobbed a thread at me, they'd put me away.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(lucyjeanne\";p=\"43631)</div> Since I have never sat with another PCer, I wouldn't know if there was a donate link under my stats. I just assumed it was there because that is the way it is supposed to work - sort of like "does the light in the refrigerator go out when you close the door" There is a donate under your stats both when I look at your posts and in your profile. If there is none under my name for others to see, I guess I don't get it either.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bruceha_2000\";p=\"43660)</div> Actually, the PriusChat points system works using the same magic as the refrigerator light. You figured it out, Bruce!
We here at PETP (People for the Ethical Treatment of Points) wish to state firmly that points do not exist for the mere enjoyment of posters. In fact points have every bit as much right to be here as we, the posters. It can be perceived that points actually came into existence before posters, and in fact, there is a good chance that points will still be here after the last poster has left. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us not to injure, harm or in any way cause worry or distress to the points. They are fragile and can change with a single bit. Please be responsible with your points.
Obiwan, I trust that you will accept these 50 points and provide for them a better home than I. [Edit] HOLY CRAP! I just came upon a windfall of points? Who's responsible for this? Danny: is there a way to find out who has donated points? I'm sure this is a trivial request about a trivial topic. [/Edit]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Danny\";p=\"43683)</div> Ah, but in your own generousity of donating points to those in need you've made yourself pointopenic. I'll have to give you a transfusion via IV before you start feeling weak and dizzy. 8)
