Is it me or is Squid's latest avatar just the epitome of social "tone deafness", the apex of colossal bad taste?

I gotta say, if I were the parent of one of Cho's victims, I'd be pretty affronted. Wow.

Were there anything clever, imaginative, humorous or witty in that avatar, I could understand it. But those attributes are lightyears removed from that avatar. It's as stupid and witless as a meat cleaver.

It's the kind of thing that makes you think "Should Squid be getting some medical attention?" You know, the same sort of questions people had about Cho ...

No, you are not alone. Mine is not the most sensitive but coupled with his posts that avatar and his whole persona is offensive.

When are y'all going to figure out not to give him the attention he so desperately whores for? I figured that out the first day I came to this board.

Spew all the BS you want. You are definately uneducated in what really matters and your propensity for antagonisic behavior gives insight into your social disfunctions. What's even more amusing is you troll these forums with impunity yet in the real world... ;) (remember the violence thread from awhile back)

Your point behind the columbine game is? Is it supported by PriusChat? Then what is your reason for posting it? Our point is, you contribute nothing but negativity and assinine comments of an offensive nature and generally annoy everyone here. In real life those people are deemed "anti-social" or "challenged". You really need to seek help.

[attachmentid=7944]I think he should use this one instead. If you are going to have bad taste, at least it should be titillating. :D

You may find it titillating, but would Squid?

I'll second that - why not limit such discussions to the moderators if it's warranted?

Of course, I've seen people doing stuff like that for two weeks after being put on global ignore (only moderators could see the bait).

    "global ignore"

What a great phrase. Must have been invented by Bush. No, make that Rove.

I realized that 15 minutes after I created the topic.

Then, again, Squid took the avatar down 30 minutes later, so perhaps the level of expressed disgust was beyond even his ability to withstand.

The main thing is the hideous thing is gone. For the moment, anyway.

I looked for it everywhere. Maybe one of the moderators "x"'d out.

You know, if it is as bad as you say it is Mark, it makes me wonder what Squid's real social life is like. Or does he even have one?

OK, now that you have piqued everyone's curiousity, can you at least describe what was so offensive? Or was it so horrible that even describing it in words will melt our computers?

It was a picture of the VT killer (Cho?) with the dual handguns and a santa hat....probably in the Avatars somewhere.

Squid's been banned for a couple days not for the avatar but for a reaction post that he pulled down in the time it took me to ban him.

To answer Mark's question- no, you are not overly sensitive. There is nothing redeeming whatsoever in that avatar.

I probably shouldn't ask, but I'm going to anyway:

Do you think we could cool it with these types of avatar?

Well it does fit his name :)

As for squids choice....extremely poor taste and I'm glad it was removed...
