Motorola v710 was the only bluetooth phone available to me, (with Verizon service). My cell phone provider was able to load all of my phone numbers in the phone book using their sony ericsson to input the info into my car. I am now able to use the phone book exactly as if I had input them through the Motorola. It was easy! I now await the "update" for my otherwise beautiful new phone! Any time I need to add a number, they said "come on in". (If you have a friend with a bluetooth phone, they can do it for you too.

Wow, but what a PITA. I wonder if you could save your phone list in a BT enabled PDA and upload them when needed or something.

Yes, it is a PITA, and I in no way am recommending this phone. It is just that if a person is "stuck" with it, then at least the phone book can be utilized.
By the way, I will be taking mine back on monday and will go with the dreaded AT&T. My initial excitement that I could have better service with Verizon (in my area) & bluetooth technology has sadly been shattered. The phone really doesn't ring in the car & by the time you push the answer button, the call is gone. Forget it. Having read all of the blogs about this phone, I have found that these defects were intentional & will not be corrected in the near future, if ever!

Update. Bye-bye to my beautiful Motorola v710. Hello to my free Sony Ericsson t637. It works. Doesn't ring through the Prius, as reported by others, but it rings through the phone & I can answer calls, input numbers, connects quickly, etc. I am back to AT&T.
    ...Sigh...

Does anyone know when (or if) the fix for the Motorola V710 will be available? And who will know first? Verizon? Motorola? Last time I called, nobody knew nuthin'.

ScoopBergen go to www.nuclearelephant.com/papers/v710, or nuclearelephant.com (the Sept. 3 file). This will at least enlighten you a little about this phone. For good phone information, I have found that phonescoop.com is helpful.
