That would make for the next step in hybrid vehicle evolution.

I think it would be ironic and iconic if it appeared in the Lancer Evolution, but I'm not holding my breath.

I like the power at the wheels idea, seems like it would work well with a serial hybrid as well. It would be easy to switch from awd to 2wd depending on road conditions. Using 4 motors for regenerative braking seems like it could offer more control, similar to regular braking.

Even if they do have an electric "i", i wouldn't call it a car. maybe fit a bag of groceries in it with you. but this fella, The ZAP, is more like it!

I'm glad to see yet another car manufacturer joining with a battery company to speed things along. But not in the US of course.

I've been keeping an eye on the Zap-X the last month or so. If (and that's a huge "if") it comes to fruition I'm going to be all over it.

I noticed they have a vehicle reservation too. Only $25k reservation fee with no production date. I'll be all over it too! This eBox thing has been growing on me too. Hoping the price will come down a bit from the $55k installation soon. give me 35-40 and I'm in.

Huh? It's pretty spacious for its size. Sorta like the Prius but downscaled.

you're right. I think I was stuck on the incredibly hideousity of the pink "hello kitty" version.... Do you know if they use that color-impregnated plastic for the body? kinda looks like it, but maybe not.

LOL. That's just a one-off special (think it was auctioned off for some charity or sth).

    Not sure.
