Finally got a chance to wash the car after the snow storm, so here a few pictures of my Magnetic Grey Touring with the wheel covers removed and the center caps installed. I think I like the wheels better this way than with the big plastic covers.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(narf @ Dec 9 2006, 12:39 PM) </div> Did you have to re-lo the tailpipe after putting the hitch on? I remember someone had a problem, with the exhaust melting the plastic under the tailpiece. I think it was "darreld". If you aren't familiar with this, do a search about trailer hitches, and you'll probably find a plethera of info BTW, The wheels look great naked on the mag grey. But I'm kinda partial to that color anyway!
regarding the hitch: I had the same hitch on my 2005 for 35000 miles before I sold it, and there was no evidence of the bumper melting that others have seen. I will be watching for it, and I may add a little plate to redirect the exhaust when the weather warms up. I think those who had the problem were located in pretty hot climates, here in Colorado it hasn't been a problem yet.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(narf @ Dec 9 2006, 10:39 AM) </div> I just purchased a '07 Touring and would like to remove the wheel covers (especially after seeing the pics that you posted). Where did you get the center caps for the wheels? Are they the same as the '06 center caps for the standard wheels? I can find those on several parts sites for about $10 a piece, but cannot find any direct references to a '07 center cap. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Terry
I just removed my wheel rings last night and think it looks much, much nicer! The new look can hold me over on buying new wheels for a while now and give me a chance save up for other mods =D

The hubcaps have their own chrome center piece, and the wheels have a second chrome center piece underneath as pictured in the prius brochure from the dealership... You should be able to just yank the hubcaps off and go; I put them back on every now and then to mix things up, but mostly run without...
