My commute of 13 miles each way is comprised of 2-3 miles of freeway at each end (for fast and efficient warm-up in each direction!) and about 7-8 miles of 40 mph in-town driving on perfectly level terrain, with a traffic signal every mile or so. Yeah, we actually get a couple days a year over 70 ... LOL. My commute in January is more like 45 mpg ... even with my block heater.
