<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(SandMan @ Mar 29 2007, 05:12 AM) </div> oh - wait for the 2009. Or better, wait for the 2010 to come out - it will be *even more better* than the 2008. You got to get on the train sometime.
Well I didn't hold out and I couldn't be happier that I went for it. The 2007 is a fantastic vehicle, now produced enough for you to negotiate a good deal and pick the options you want. We went for package #4 in Seaside Pearl. I'll miss my Matrix, but enjoy the Prius' many benefits. Whenever the redesigned version comes out, keep in mind your looking at a year or more unless you want to be taken to the cleaners with price and not have as much flexiblity on options.
In speaking with Santa Monica Toyota a few months back where I purchased my 2007 Prius, the sales manager mentioned that he feels the 3rd generation 2008 Prius would be launched September '07 and will be taking deposits around July.
Yow--maybe foolishly I'm waiting to buy my first hybrid to see what emerges for the 2008 model year. I realize that this is all speculation at this point. But when can we expect to start seeing some reliable information as to what Toyota is planning for 2008? June perhaps?

My 2005 purrs like a kitten and and never sees a dealer (except for the maint). Also, until the CarPool sticker can be transfered to my new car(here is hoping they change the law) - guess it is this one until 2011 when the carpool option runs out.
