While searching for a Toyota Pruis model for Trackmania United I stumbled on an open source game called Racer. Racer is a free car simulation project, focusing on realism. It also stimulates users to create their own content (cars and tracks) by using simple file formats. You can get more info on the game at http://www.racer.nl/ You can download the 2005 Prius model here I thought maybe we could start an online virtual Prius community with it. Mod our Prius and share with others. Maybe even have races online. The current prius above handels like $#!? but with some modifications we could make the perfect Prius. I havnt found a model for TMU yet but if any one knows of one please let me know. [attachmentid=7527] [attachmentid=7528]
Cool, I like Gran Turismo 4 too for driving a believable Prius around some fine tracks. You can drive in Seattle, Tokyo, Laguna Seca the Nuremberging etc. The handling is feels just like a stock Prius.
Well I did a little playing around and I almost got it to look like my Prius. A few things I still need to change are the wheels, antenna, and the interior. The wheels and the antenna will be the hard part as they are 3D and from what I understand the file format for the 3D is "protected" so I cant edit it. [attachmentid=7560] [attachmentid=7559] [attachmentid=7558]

Should mention that it's not really open source -- not only are you basically not free to distribute modified versions of it, but none of the source past the now-quite-ancient stable version is or will be available.
This is sort of off topic, but it is on the topic of simulation. Has anyone else wanted a Prius to drive around in Microsoft Flight Simulator? Because I have. If someone knoes FS maybe they could be kind enough to model one for us.
