<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Atreides @ Mar 16 2007, 10:22 PM) </div> I am completely lost here in Gotham where unleaded is now above $3.00/gallon. We just elected a Democratic majority to Congress and yet we have gas prices going through the roof. Are the Democrats in cahoots with Big Oil? Do they not feel our pain? Where are they - did they not promise to lower gas prices? Again, the Democrats are all hot air. Perhaps Pelosi can go to Saudi Arabia and beg for some cheaper oil, or perhaps Kennedy can drop a dime and speak to his buddy Chavez and arrange for some low priced oil for the rest of the US? WHERE ARE THE DEMOCRATS?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dbermanmd @ Apr 11 2007, 07:04 AM) </div> Really the question should be WHERE's Bush on vacation again/?? the ones who are in office now and in the past years have done this to everyone so where are the REPUBLICANS oh I know at the BANK counting MONEY They should be thinking of the future for US which means U.S. Government. BTW Did we all forget about BIN LADEN Where the hell is he come on now Republican war mongers get him.
Darn, the average has gone even higher over here. Per http://www.fuelgaugereport.com/CAmetro.asp, the avg. for regular unleaded is $3.306 in San Jose, CA.
just went to $2.999 here in Olympia at cheapest gas station in town. the average has gone up 15 cents in the past two weeks, 54 cents in the past 6 weeks. so yepper... averaging better than a penny a day here.
For the first time in a long time regular and diesel are the same price. $2.99. Thankfully I wont be filling my truck for quite some time, I will probably drive about once a month to the feed store like I did today, That should make my current tank last 4 months or so.
Here in the Buffalo, NY /Southern Tier our last two tanks, Audi A4 and Prius, were 2.99 and 2.91 respectively.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ACD @ Apr 14 2007, 05:40 PM) </div> Diesel in Sacramento has been cheaper than regular unleaded for the past 6 months.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL Paid $2.89 last night, but regular is selling elsewhere here for $2.95-$2.99; premium is up around $3.09-$3.19. These prices are up about $.60 a gallon in two months. Everybody was panicing when gas approached $3.00 here last summer; nobody's even talking about gas prices today. My 06 package 8 (now 07 package 06) can be bought for around $3,000 less than I paid and they're still sitting on the dealer's lots - what's going on?
Pushing $3 at 2.999 here in Milwaukee, although I've seen a couple stations at 2.879 )I filled up immediately - all 6 gallons I needed In Wisconsin we have a double whammy - a minimum mark-up law which guarantees a 6% profit and summer "boutique" gasoline which apparently throws the oil industry into such a tizzy every spring when they have to supply it that the price goes up. Interesting that the price doesn't go down, but rises again in the fall when they switch back to the winter gas. And just about all the gas in the Milwaukee area is 10% ethanol all year around. I hear that outside this area, you can get regular gas without the ethanol and better mileage.
Avg. for regular here is $3.322 now per http://www.fuelgaugereport.com/CAmetro.asp. I had to bite bullet and partly fill my Z w/premium at $3.529. The Shell credit card effectively brings that down to ~$3.34/gal.
