It refers to them by distance (miles in English and Km in French) or by their order of proximity (second exit, next exit, etc.). I guess I am going to be experimenting on the way home.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(IsrAmeriPrius @ Apr 10 2007, 03:09 PM) </div> OK, I got it. It only identifies freeways, highways and interstates by name and it does so by route numbers, i.e., Route 405 as opposed to San Diego Freeway, in both English and French.

(And is it visible?) In the UK it's a microwave motion sensor hidden in the overhead light box. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Acelin @ Apr 10 2007, 11:57 PM) </div> Not as standard in Europe. Let's add two more for EU Prius (although I'm not sure if this is valid for whole EU - it is just judging by my car): - no panic button in FOB - no glove box LED light Piotr
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bulek @ Apr 12 2007, 06:40 PM) </div> Panic button: true. LED light: I do have one, it only works when the headlights are on. There's a bit of black spongy material around the button that opens the glove box, presumably to stop light leaking out, looks like an afterthought added after complaints. That spongy stuff will never last the life of the car, bet the next model will have a regular switch again.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Oxo @ Apr 13 2007, 05:46 PM) </div> There is a 12V socket underneath on the right side too. And if there is no thermos, what's that whirring sound that comes a minute after system turn off???
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sleeper @ Apr 13 2007, 03:12 PM) </div> brake pump releasing pressure. We also have that whirl.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sleeper @ Apr 14 2007, 12:12 AM) </div> That 12V socket is not there on RHD (right hand drive) versions, they did not bother moving it to the left side but just left it out. So it's not a EU vs US difference, I think Japan, Australia don't have it and continental EU does. See photo on the first page of this thread, that's an Australian RHD example.
There are a few more for 2007 models: 1. Auto doorlock when shift to Drive 2. Auto headlight on/off 3. Self-park (Maybe Japan only, not sure if EU has it or not) 4. Sunroof (tilt and slide) 5. Laser guided cruise control
My T-Spirit UK Prius has two 12V sockets. Also, you can't get auto dimming rear view mirror here in the UK.
