I have a silver 2005 Toyota Prius WITH carpool lane stickers. However, I rarely go on the freeway with traffic and don't utilize the stickers. Instead of letting these stickers go to waste, I figured I'd let another person take advantage of them. http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2007-0...-stickers_N.htm I'm looking to trade for another Prius without carpool lane stickers plus cash. Price will vary depending on condition of car, what package, and mileage. But to set a ballpark price, I am looking for ~$4000 dollars (please read the link above and you'll understand the price). The condition of the car is in excellent condition and has package 3 (with the keyless entry and start). I also had leather installed by the dealership and is in excellent shape. Currently, there are 19000 miles on the car and runs excellent and has been serviced only at the Toyota dealership. There are a couple dings on the passenger door and some scratches on the back bumper. These are really hard to see. Please contact me if you are interested. dstsengfix at gmail dot com I will respond with my phone number for interested parties. Thanks!
$4k! Man, I either seriously underestimate the day to day value of traveling in the HOV lane or you're out of your mind....probably the former. I guess if the traffic in the non-HOV lanes was so bad that I'd give serious consideration to paying $4k for an HOV sticker then I'd probably either move or change jobs to avoid the traffic. But best of luck to you. Would you not think it more valuable to sell the car outright and purchase a newer model with the extra profit?
The article states: Well, I can ask for a $10,000 premium for my HOV stickers. It does not mean that I am going to get it. I am still waiting for verified data on how much buyers actually paid extra on account that the cars had the stickers.
I have a 2006 black package 3 with 7000 miles on it that I'm looking to sell with HOV stickers. I'll be interested to see if you sell yours. Let me know and good luck. Hi there! Is your Prius with the HOV stickers still available? If so can you please let me know what the asking price is? Thank you. ARR
Mine too. Well, if the price is right, I will consider an offer. '05, Salsa Red, Package 6 with just under 40k miles, 7/100 $0 deductible extended warranty, maintained by the book at Keyes Toyota.
A few months ago, I tried calling advertised Priuses in Southern California with HOV sticker at cars.com and autotrader.com. If the asking price had a premium of anywhere from 3,000 to $3,500, it is SOLD by the time I get to it-- it gets snatched like lightning. I called 4-5 for sale Priuses. At $4,000 premium, it stays there for a while- meaning, I can call and talk to the seller while the car is still available for sale. I think $4K is the upper limit and beyond which, the turnover will be very slow. It's also safe to say that at $3000 premium, it is a VERY GOOD BUY! However, there's a nullity to the HOV sticker- year 2011. The premium theoretically should therefore go down as we approach 2011.
