<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ Apr 2 2007, 05:22 PM) </div> Im absolutely shocked .My guess is that Rice has had more influence with Republican policy than Bush has.
Daniel, Daniel, Daniel- I usually have the utmost respect for your wisdom and insightful observations. But Condoleezza Rice? Are you serious? Rice did her doctorate dissertation on the Soviet Union, and like Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney, her political viewpoint is anchored in that era. Hence she has no understanding whatsoever on how to best deal with terrorism and the current world crises. And while her personal story is compelling, her shoe shopping trip in New York while New Orleans was drowning convinced me that she has come so far from those days that she has lost whatever compassion she had. And don't forget her warning about how the smoking gun would come in the form of a mushroom cloud. Now she very well might be supressing contrary views from the Bush administration- but do we want a "toady" as the leader of the free world?
I would vote for Joe Lieberman (who I can't stand) before I'd vote for Rice. That being said, I would LOVE for her to get the Republican nomination. Can you imagine Rice vs. Clinton or Rice vs. Obama? The poor Neocons' heads would explode!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(IsrAmeriPrius @ Apr 2 2007, 03:36 PM) </div> The latter. Anyway, it's just a thought.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ Apr 2 2007, 07:28 PM) </div> Well stop thinking that way or I'm just gonna have to put you on ignore!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ Apr 2 2007, 10:28 PM) </div> We didn't mean to gang up on you. We were only concerned that perhaps you banged your head or something.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(charliem @ Apr 2 2007, 10:05 PM) </div> Who said vote for Gore? I said don't vote for Rice. Ah, the personal attack in lieu of any supporting facts. Spoken like a true Republican.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(charliem @ Apr 2 2007, 08:05 PM) </div> You mean they're seriously considering Scooter's best friend? Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Yeesh.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Dragonfly @ Apr 3 2007, 12:31 AM) </div> Psst. Let him vote for Fred Thomson. That way Fred Thompson won't get his vote. I *love* an informed electorate.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Dragonfly @ Apr 2 2007, 07:41 PM) </div> You wouldn't actually put me on ignore just for one wacky idea, would you??? Hey, you have to expect some wacky ideas from a guy who spent six months in federal prison for trying to dig a nuclear missile silo out of the ground with a pick and shovel. Here's another: They ought to make tires out of concrete and roads out of rubber: That way nobody would ever get a flat tire. Anyway, if Rice does get the nomination (which I consider less likely than the shrub announcing that I, Daniel, am the Second Coming of the Christ) I will consider her qualifications and policies carefully, and compare them to those of everyone else on the ballot, before making a final decision.
