Pulling the trigger later this week or early next week and need your input on what color to go for, Barcelona Red Metallic or Driftwood Pearl or Silver Pine Mica Im in michigan and sofar have quotes of $24,700 out the door for package 2
None of the above. Get Metallic Grey. But if you HAVE to choose between those three, red's a great choice.

No No No get the seaside pearl that is the best color. I love blue cars but if I have to pick from the three you have given my vote Silver Pine Mica
Based on experience, you are more likely to get pulled over for speeding in a red car. In fact, I have never been pulled over aside from a period of about 2 years where I drove a bright red car and got pulled over 3 times. Anyway, I concur that Metallic Gray is obviously the best color. But if you have to pick from those 3, I'd go with the Driftwood Pearl I guess.
Obviously I'm partial to Barcelona Red. If I were to get a Prius in any other color, I'd opt for either Silver Pine Mica or Magnetic Grey. I'm not really crazy about Seaside Pearl, but there's a deeper blue available in Japan that I like. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Highly ImPriused @ Apr 2 2007, 04:19 PM) </div> Probably not a concern to most Prius drivers!
Barcelona Red Metallic is my vote too. Summer is coming up and this is a great color in the sun!! We've had ours since October, and I've not been pulled over yet! (knock on wood) Personally I don't believe there is any factual data that can show a red car gets pulled over more than another color. I drive on the freeway and get passed by plenty of people. Dave
I have Driftwood Pearl and it has two advantages, it's inobtrusive and it doesn't show the dirt (actually it's the same color as the dirt around here). My favorite Prius color was Salsa Red, no longer available. If I bought a new one today it would most likely be silver. If safety is a concern get a white one, white is the best color for visibility on cars, except in a snow storm of course.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tumbleweed @ Apr 2 2007, 04:35 PM) </div> I prefer the Silver Metallic, as it just appears very sophisticated to me. My deciding factor though was what color would hide dirt the best, and because the silver metallic is a neutral color I have found that it does hide the dirt very well.
I would think it is best you make your own decision. I made mine and went for the "red".[attachmentid=7233]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stev0 @ Apr 2 2007, 01:03 PM) </div> agree with this post
I went to the dealership to look at a Barcelona Red, saw the Magnetic Grey and the rest was history. But, since that's not one of your choices... Silver Pine Mica, definitely. Gorgeous color and far less common than red.
I concur! And that has nothing to do with the fact that my own Prius is that beautiful soft silvery green color... Purely an objective observation of course.
Do you have any ideas for a custom licence plate that might influence your choice? Much as I like the deep red Salsa colour, 'hyo red' just wouldn't work. Predius, maybe. My ca? Knit 2?
Magnetic Grey. Those colors are the ugliest ones (I guess it's my age...21). Silver Pine Mica isn't bad, but I'd go with Magnetic Grey. Out of those 3 I'd rank them 1. Silver Pine Mica 2. Driftwood Pearl 3. Barcelona Red (eek)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(IAO @ Apr 2 2007, 12:09 PM) </div> That's my position as well. In 2005 there wasn't a green like the Silver Pine Mica, but as I like blue the Seaside Pearl was an easy choice. Actually no matter what color you pick, the Prius is still green.
When I ordered my 2006 Prius back in February 06, I wanted the red one. But when I saw one upclose in a lot, I didn't like the tiny gold specks embedded in the paint. So I switched to silver until I decided that silver was too boring and common. I finally settled on Silver Pine Mica and I'm very happy with my decision (so is my wife). PS: no offense to other colors
