Just picked up my salsa red Prius on Tuesday, Feb. 10. I placed my name on the waiting list on December 16 and was number 19. The dealer stated that I received mine so quickly because I wanted red and did not request any packages. The delivered car was red with only an alarm and car mats... I am having a blast, zipping all around town. My goal is to beat my average mpg each time I take it out! I wonder when I pass a dog walker on the side of the road if they wonder where the sudden breeze came from since they can't hear me. :lol: Thanks to this forum I feel that I have become more of an informed Prius owner and hope to be able to contribute information in the future.
Congrat Shocker! I am glad that you are loving your Prius. It is a great automobile! You are like me, I am always trying to beat my previous MPG!
I am located in Connecticut. Thanks for the warm welcome The Prius seems pretty popular up here and I shopped around until I found a dealer with the lowest waitlist (mine had 19 some had up to 50) and a pretty high monthly allocation of cars each month (2-3). Periodically I would call all the dealers in the area to make sure that my dealer was telling me the same line as the others and to make sure that the allocations were continuing to come.
