(1) Received an offer for 23408 for 2007 prius package #3, seaside blue? Any thoughts? Is this good? (2) Has anyone been successful getting a dealership to waive the doc fee? Thanks in advance!!!

In my case, I got a package 1 for just under $22K, which was $300 below the dealer invoice I was shown. However, it was about $200 above what edmunds was showing for invoice. This was taking into account the fact that edmunds doesn't include the $199 MSRP floor mats that the dealer makes you buy (I just guessed at about $100 invoice for them, but I don't know for sure). I am told that edmunds can be off by a little bit because they don't have the latest information on things like manufacturer advertising costs that get factored in to the invoice price. Anyway, I think that's a good price. You might be able to do a little bit better but not much. In my case there was a $99 dealer prep and delivery fee that I wasn't able to get them to waive. No "doc" fee.

I also got them to waive the doc fee. And drove it away the same night I bought it. I encourage all to try e-mail negotiations. No other dealership was able to match that price.
