My 2006 Prius is 16 months old with 16,500 miles on it. As of this writing it has never been to the dlr. for a defective part or any other problem. We didn't even have to do the recall. So far we are very impressed with the "Gumdrop" and will by a 2nd one when we can.
We just bought our 2006 a bit ago. love it. now the wife (as of this past saturday ) is off to grad school and will take the car. so that means i'm gonna need to get me one. well its an excuse anyway.
My 06 just passed 30K with no problems at all (25,100 in one year from Jan 12, 06). It has never been back to a dealer, and that's the way I like it. Happy motoring!
I cracked 45,000 today on a 2006 (2/15/06), never back to the dealer, only oil changes and tire rotations out in my garage.
