I'm thinking about buying the OEM leather cover replacement for $500. "THE KIT INCLUDES THE MATERIAL FOR THE SEATS (FRONT AND REAR), ARM RESTS AND HEADRESTS (IF APPLICABLE) AND DOOR INSERTS (WHERE YOU CURRENTLY HAVE CLOTH ON THE DOORS)." Has anyone ever installed them by themselves, or would it be best to take them to a dealer to install? If so, could you throw a number to how much you think it would cost to have someone install it for you?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mywhitenoise @ Mar 28 2007, 01:33 PM) </div> The leather (off ebay for $350.00 - inventory close out) was installed last year in a L.A. mom & pop shop. It was installed for $250 ish ... which I've heard was a great deal.
I probably overpaid, but I went to the dealer and had the seats, etc, redone in leather for $1200. The job looks just like it was factory installed. Worth every penny of it, although I see that others are having it done for a lot less.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hill @ Mar 28 2007, 02:23 PM) </div> That's an incredible deal, the ebay auction on mine alone is $400, plus another $40 to ship. I called up 2 places, one said around $700, the other $4/500.
