Unless PriusChat is headquartered somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, Eastern Canada or the Caribbean, I think the system clock is off by one hour.
Been this way since DST went into effect. Hoping it will straighten out when the old date for DST comes around.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tom 6850 @ Mar 26 2007, 02:24 PM) </div> Yeah, then it will be 2 hours off.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(rfred @ Mar 26 2007, 06:36 PM) </div> Not to me. I've got two kids on traveling soccer teams. Since we have a limited amount of fields to practice on and a lot of teams vying for time, this allows us to get in more practices before it gets too dark to see the ball coming at your face... Selfish reason, I know. I'm okay with that.
Why don't you just practice earlier? Why should the whole country accommodate your kid's soccer practice? Are you somehow prohibited from an earlier practice? DST only makes commercial sense, there's more daylight for SHOPPING! As if all the enclosed malls don't have electric lights... Otherwise, it's just a huge time and money suck. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ZenCruiser @ Mar 26 2007, 10:07 PM) </div>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(rfred @ Mar 26 2007, 05:36 PM) </div> It was Ben Franklin. We can blame him for all of this soccer stuff!
For being a save the energy, save the planet bunch, ya'll don't seem to understand the reasoning behind DST and for moving it earlier/later in the year. Here's a take on it from California: http://www.energy.ca.gov/daylightsaving.html I know there are other references that say we save overall amount of electricity, but we have a higher peak demand period which makes overall dollar cost savings minimal. As we have recently learned from Al Gore, saving dollars is not important... well heck.. saving actual electricity is not important either... Why do we have DST?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daronspicher @ Mar 27 2007, 09:28 AM) </div> Chill out team! This is not about DST. The system time is the wrong way for a DST error. IF it was a DST error, the system time would be showing Chicago time (CST). I'm suprised that somebody hasn't started a rant beginning: "If G-D had wanted Daylight savings time..."
Ermmm ... Since no one has mentioned this yet ... you can manually change the time zone and DST ... I did it when the new Daylight Savings time took effect. In fact, in the system options screen, I had to manually change the "DST" setting from "Off" to "On". You can also choose what time zone you are in. Initially, I only noticed that something was off when the estimated time of arrival for the nav system was different than my clock. (I also went in and changed the speed limits that the system uses to calculate the travel times ... from 25 to 30 mph for residential streets, to 70 mph for highways, etc) See if that helps. And, what, you've never heard of the Toyota manufacturing plant off the coast of Nova Scotia? 10,000 ft under the sea ...
