Couldn't vote - no option for just "No". But I vote "No". Freedom of speech should rule. Everyone has the right to be an a**, some people just abuse the privilege. But then, that allows us to know who they are and how to respond (or NOT).

This would just create more work for the mods, and as someone else pointed out, give anyone the . Use your Ignore function. NOT the one avaiable on PriusChat - the one you were born with.... :lol:

In order to avoid invoking Godwin's Law, each day I will be using one of 2500 different descriptions of people which I consider to be the functional equivalent of the word that Godwin decided shouldn't be posted.

Failure to type the exact banned word should not be taken as a failure of me to think it applies, but since the rule only applies to one specific word I can call you Pal or Buddy and if you don't get the meaning it's too darn bad...

While there is plenty of sloppy reasoning and name-calling on any online forum, not every instance of comparison to Hitler and the Nazis is invalid

While it's true that the bases of many Nazi atrocities have been long-ago thoroughly discredited, there are certainly other topics of active debate and serious consideration today for which National Socialist policies and practices can provide instructive (which is not to say definitive) historic examples. Medical euthanasia and gun control are two that come to mind.
