all weather mats from Toyota

    Thanks to Mikeslavis pointing out that the new 2005 is up on the Toyota website, I thought that I'd point out that that accessories have also changed slightly, and now there are all-weather floor mats.

    I'm picking up my new 2004 silver beauty on Friday morning ( :D YAY!) and considering the Chicago winter, ice and snow, this is something I would really consider, and something that I've seen several people inquire about on posts here.

    Also, I wanted to thank you all for great questions and insight on this forum, as I've read all the posts to prepare myself for my new purchase. Everything I've learned here has been invaluable, I'm sure, as I start off on my new Prius adventure!

    I got the Prius (tan) floor mats... I found that there is no rubber piece under the gas peddle... and within a couple of weeks my carpets looked pretty bad... I went to K-mart and bought a set of cheap rubber ones that are doing the trick....they come out quickly if I want to impress someone... not sure who that would be, but......they come out

    My only complaint concerning floor wear and tear is that I like to straighten my left leg when I drive. When I do, I place my left foot on the rubber patch. But my toes come high and in a month i've already made quite a noticable mark on the carpet.

    I ordered mats from LLBean. They're called Waterhog, or something like that. They are beige fabric and supposed to be really durable and washable. I'll cycle between them in the winter and the Prius mats in the summer.

    Anyone know how much these mats cost? There's no price on the Toyota website. And I tried to be tricky by building a car and adding them as an accessory, but they don't seem to have update the accessories section in the build your car.

    According to my window sticker, the floor mats and cargo mat package was $184.00. Insane price, but they do look nice, will protect the carpet and fit into the hooks to prevent slipping.

    Great, Affordable Mats at Costco

    Picked up my AM-7 October 25th last year.

    Next stop was Costco, got a set of 4 Kraco mats (tan or black - take your pick).

    I think they were, like, $ 29.00 for the set; maybe less - just can't recall.

    Work like a champ, fit "good enough" not to cut or otherwise mess with 'em.

    May not hold a gallon of water but sure handled snow and mud last winter.

    Here's seconding the "Costco solution". Got grey ones in my case to match the interior decor.

    Fit fine for me (although i trimmed one side a bit). The price was right, and they protect the floor just fine.

    $184 is highway robbery - I'd never pay that for floor mats...

    yea.... But they say Prius on them. That’s at least worth 150 bucks more.

    I have rubber ones in my VW Bug and 323i. Now the rubber mats in those cars are very think and very heavy. I'm surprised I haven’t heard anyone asking if there is a possible loss in MPG using rubber mats. Not to mention that cars get such bad gas mileage in winter, and if you’re pilling a gallon of water on each mat... well... It adds up. Right :) ?

    The Partsnet ( Conicelli) price for the Prius cargo mat is $61.50, and the floor mats are $72.00.. this totals $133.50... plus shipping

    from another place, Camelback...cargo mat $62.50, floor mats $72.50.. plus shipping..

    Toyota Parts Store... cargo mat, $77.90... floor mats, $86.40 plus shipping

    I have seen the mats on eBay...once

    all mats are Prius and have the logo....

    I found great custom floor mats for my 04 Prius! They are thick rubber with deep dimples to hold water. they are custom cut to fit the exact shape of the factory carpet mats. I believe that front mats are 49.00 and all four are 59. Go to:
