I don't have any specific recommendations, since I'm not from your area, but you should consider calling nearby dealers and asking them what body shop they use. We actually recently had the need to use a body shop and we used the one at the dealer (i.e. they have their own); they really did a great job. Just make sure that whatever body shop you go to is "Prius-aware" . . . there are certain precautions that have to be taken to protect some of the electric components.

Keyes Collision Center in Van Nuys is Prius certified by Toyota and is a state of the art facility. 818-780-2000. They fix a lot of high end cars, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, etc. I have had my car repaired twice by them. Their metal work and paint quality are excellent.

Thanks for your comments. I did, in fact, call the dealer where I bought my car in Pasadena and they recommended the body shop where they have cars repaired. So, I went in for an estimate today. It's estimated at around $3,000, plus any internal damage and extra labor, and 8-10 days for a rental car. The girl's mother wants to pay for the repairs, but, get this, she wants me to use a repair shop because she knows the owner! Can you believe the audacity? I have to break the bad news, I'm getting the insurance company involved to guaranty quality work and that everything gets paid for, and for my peace of mind.
