Congrats on a socially responsible, globally conscious decision. I daresay that the planet and all of our collective children and grandchildren thank you.

You won't miss it. These cars could be for the long term.

OK, that's it... this thread has definitely moved from the technical to the ZEN space....

Shall we all look at our belly buttons now? or should we just turn off our computers for 10 minutes - and collectively save millions of watts of energy?

PS: I love all of you too... :D

I've never owned a Porsche but still have a sports car. I do enjoy my Z on the twisties along w/its acceleration but could do without its harsh ride.

Hi Joseph. I enjoyed reading your article because I feel the same way as you do. I do not own a Porsche but am driving a 5 series BMW. I will will be purcahsing a Prius very soon and selling my car. My wife is picking the color and she can't make up her mind between the Barcelona Red Metallic or Seaside Pearl. She has seen the Seaside Pearl at a delaership, but we have not seen the red yet. As soon as she decides on the color I will order one. I went to a Toyota delaership with a friend of mine who was also interested in seeing the Prius as well. Guess what she will be giving her 1996 Honda Accord to her Son-in-law and we will be purcahsing the two cars at the same time. I have two other friends who I have introduced to the Prius but they will not be ready to look at one until later this year. When I test drove the car at a dealership late January this year I was able to get 4.7L/100 km on the highway and 2.7L/100 km in the city. I drove about 20 kms on the highway and 18 kms in the city. I am very impressed with this car. My brother is waiting for me to get this car so that he can test drive it. His lease will come up on his vehicle in October this year and he would like to get the new Highlander Hybrid.

    Thanks,
    Farshad

4.7 on the highway? Wow, you must've been travelling at 80 or 90km/h.

Lowest I got in the city was 3.8 and that's over 15kms.
