Lots of talk about audio inputs for the Prius, but what about the stereo audio output from the Prius?? My Prius is delivering in a week or 2 and I am planning to move my current sound system into it. (Sony CD90 with 10-disc changer on optical and Alpine RU-701 sound processor + MB Quart Q-series 216) It would be good if I can tap the audio from some outputs but I doubt these exist. I am assuming that whatever come out of the radio is at speaker levels....right? Worse case scenerio would be I will run a separate sound system and ignore the build-in unit.... (Audio)

I doubt there are many, if any, stock head units that offer RCA outputs. I'm about to install a system using previous components and am going to go with a line level converter at first, then if needed maybe a JL cleansweep or AudioControl Three.1

Your options would be a new head unit (and probably losing fancy multi-display of what song is playing), or tap the speaker outputs. -Silly
