Hi all. I recently installed the Ultimate Lockpick kit in my Prius. I was thinking about going w/ the IPOD video to play movies on the nav screen, but I wasn't sure how good the resolution would be. Is anyone running this setup right now? If so, is the picture fairly clear? If it isn't very good, what would be other options for video playback? Any info is greatly appreciated!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rick Grahn @ Mar 14 2007, 04:30 PM) </div> I have the iPod Video (80 Gb) with the CT Lockpick 3 in my 2007 and honestly, the picture is excellent and the sound is even better. Videos can be downloaded from iTunes or ripped from DVD's with the right software. I watch it when I am waiting in the parking lot to pick up the kids from one of their activities....never when I'm driving. As we all know, video on the Prius screen (visible by the driver) is illegal in some states and downright dumb when you are driving, no matter where. It's still a cool novelty to show off once in a while however.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dazman @ Mar 14 2007, 10:53 PM) </div> Thanx for the replies. I have a PSP and I know the video gets compressed to play on that. Since the screen has a very small resolution, the image quality of the source does not have to be all that great. Same thing goes for the iPod I suppose. But the screen on the Prius is not all that large, either. So perhaps the video retains some semblance of clarity. I bought the Ultimate Lockpick for the address/bluetooth overrides on the navi and to play movies while we are going on roadtrips. This will keep my wife occupied while I drive. I can't swear that I won't peak over occasionally. But sometimes just listening to the dialog of the movie is entertaining.
Does the lock pick work with non-nav systems? I envy the Cadillac STS' setup where you can plug composite cables directly into the car and display the vide on the center stack.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(allargon @ Mar 17 2007, 08:31 PM) </div> I believe you can just purchase the part of the lockpick system that allows you to plug in a/v devices to display on the screen. You might check w/ Coastal on that, but the unit I have w/ the a/v plugs on it just connects into the monitor and the radio. The part that allows you to override the navi connects to the dvd player. Obviously, you wouldn't need this part.
I know that someone made their own setup, connecting to the input where the reverse camera signal is. You have to do the mod so you can activate the camera at any time.
