I see very few around here, not far south of Tampa, Florida. I'm the only one in our student parking lot for sure, but I've not seen a teacher or parent drive one either.

We were the first in the nation to have hybrid school busses though! We have two. I think one of the local police squads may have a few Prii.

I usually see them on the road, about 4 or 5 on my daily commute. And in parking lots and in garages, plenty of them here. Haven't seen them in the office, at the checkout in the supermarket, in the lift or in an apartment yet. They tend to hang around in pretty much the same places where other cars can be found.

I haven't seen a single Prius in the flesh in months now, and boy do I miss them! With the amazingly noxious air pollution caused by the tens of thousands of poorly tuned 2-stroke motorcycles and even more poorly maintained diesel engines around here, we could really use a few Prii in these parts.

Seriously, if you think the U.S. has problems with air quality, you ought to come here and spend a few days in a large West-African city. The pollution here is absolutely breath-taking (in more ways than one).

At one Metro parking lot -- an outdoor one where I can see the whole lot -- I'd see maybe one other Prius each day. Two at the most.

Recently I've been going to a different Metro station about 5 miles away, where they have an indoor lot. I enter at Level 2 and generally drive directly up the ramps to level 4. Almost always I pass or see at least 3 other Prii, sometimes as many as 5 or 6.

They definitely seem to be in clusters. We did an 1800-mile round trip out to Illinois/Missouri during the summer and saw only about THREE the entire trip. Two were at the same places we stopped to eat.

    Coolest instances have been:

When one pulled into my real estate office - same exact car as mine, minus the decals (we have about 40 agents in the office, and except for meetings, there's usually not a lot of cars in the lot, so to see two Prii out about 8 cars... pretty cool). He was another agent's client, but before they left the office, I asked him if he knew about PriusChat... and he did!

Three (including mine, which was the only one with a rack) in the parking lot of Belleayre ski resort in NY last Friday.

I was watching the news tonight here in Lancaster, PA and there was a news clip on traffic speed traps locally. The clip was a road view of cars passing and the first car shown was a Prius. 1 out of 3 cars taped.....

Bryan / College station is not a big town - about 130,000 combined population + a large university campus. I see about 10 prii (usually not the same) driving around on my 15 minute commute or driving around at any other time during the day. In fact I dont see as many in Houston, Austin or Dallas if I ever have to make short visit to these relatively larger cities. BUT, I do get more Prius handwaves in Dallas or Austin than I ever do in College Station!

Too many to count in Portland. There are 4 on my block alone (one is a classic), and at least 3 more in within 2 blocks of my home that I know of. At first I counted and waved, but there are just WAAAAAAAY too many to do that anymore.

In my town of 5,800 people in RI, there must be at least a dozen. Yesterday as I was approaching the main intersection in town, another Prius was entering the intersection and a third was pulling away.

I first started noticing Prii II in early 2004. I purchased a 2005 in October 2004. I purchased a 2007 in November 2006. The occurrence of Prii is becoming "exponential." Where before seeing a Prius was significant, I'm noticing Prii more and more. At a recent training PG&E solar session three of us had Prii, a silver, blue and green. Prii are definitely becoming more common.

Another Prius is a rare sight in Anchorage. I saw a 2007 on the dealer's lot and that's it. This is big stupid truck country.

Hi MacDude. If you were on this side of the hill during the day, you would see mega numbers of them. My husband has one of the 20 you are seeing on the way home. Its a Touring too. What's your MPG, if I may ask? I am interested in other hill drivers stats.

I see them everywhere in central Massachusetts. I've even seen them while driving to my mom's home in the Catskill Mountains in New York. It was pretty wild to see another Prius go by in the middle of the forest on Route 30!

Cab companies here are switching to the Prius (and other mid-size cars, like the Malibu) from the traditional Ford Crown Vic, so I see several every day. At last count, my wife and I had spotted 94 Prius taxis in the city.

When I was in Vancouver last October, I thought it was cool to see the Prius taxis out there. As far as I'm concerned, ALL taxi fleets should be hybrids - imagine the fuel savings & reduced emissions with the amount of driving/idling they do!

The government and/or taxi companies should put incentives of some sort in place to help taxi drivers get into hybrid vehicles. I'm sure lots would like to do it anyway but simply cannot afford it... (at least in Canada, where Prii are more expensive).

In Toronto, they have some hybrid buses, but that is about it.

There must be 6-8 others in my parking garage at work... up from a year ago when I think I was the second. It certainly helps that my building overlooks the parking lot for the City of Houston's Code Enforcement department, which has a huge fleet of white '04+ models all to themselves. (Not sure if other CoH depts have them, too.)

Saw one or two the whole time I was in Paris, France for ten days just last month. What's up with that?

Well, I'm only at the beginning of my 3rd week with it and I'm getting about 43mpg. I live in Bonny Doon, so after I go over 17, I'm only half way home.

Lovin' it so far. Amazing how many new, unplated Prii I've been seing lately.
