B) I just received in the mail today an envelope from Toyota with a $25 off service coupon and a few stickers with the word, "Yes" on them. It appears like there is currently an ad campaign for Prius that is highlighting the fact that 92% of Prius owners would buy one again. I would, so I put some of the included window stickers on my D/S porthole and the back lower window. I will use the coupon on my upcoming 10K service! Has anyone else recieved the stickers or seen Prii with them on? Lee
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ Mar 12 2007, 07:53 PM) </div> I see in fine print on the bottom of the page, "Northern California Toyota Dealers Advertising Association". I also saw a billboard ad with the "Yes" logo on it today too. Perhaps there is a test marketing thing going on. There is a Website, to check out too. "Show the world how you feel about your Prius. Put the "Yes" card in your window, stick one on your bumper, get creative. Help spread the "Yes," and make the world a more positive place." ---sounds like fun even if they are bribing me with the $25. B) Lee
www.priusyes.com Looks like they're just getting the site put together (several "coming soon" items). Was hoping there was a way to get a sticker through the site.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ Mar 12 2007, 08:09 PM) </div> Give me a minute and I'll post a picture of the letter and the set of two bumper stickers. I already put the two window stickers on.
I think this must be a local promotion, though very slickly produced. I put in my Oregon zip code in that floating box and got referenced to Toyota dealers in Eureka, Redding, and Chico, California. Like Sufferin' said in a different thread, Satisfied Owners (Coming soon) when we're all here is just funny.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Bill Merchant @ Mar 13 2007, 12:01 AM) </div> You would think that the advertising guru's would tap into Prius' bigest fan club.... anyway, I put the stickers on my windows, and will look to see if any others in town do the same. I am loving the car especially now that the weather has warmed and I'm getting over 52 mpg! Lee
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Bill Merchant @ Mar 12 2007, 11:01 PM) </div> Today, I also received the stickers and the $25 off next service. The timing is great, I just hit 10,000 miles. I almost threw it alway along with all the other junk mail. Cheers, SF
Yeah, I received them. Too bad I'm unsure of whether I'll be due for an oil change by the coupon expiration date (5/31/07). If not, I guess I might do an early oil change anyway.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Gadgetdad @ Mar 13 2007, 02:19 AM) </div> I just got the stickers yesterday and will be keeping an eye out for them on my road trip today. Wonder how many people rushed out and slapped them on within minutes of opening the envelope? I like my Prius, and would consider another HSD Toyota, but I am not so ate-up that I am going to advertise for Toyota on my bumper. I may end up being easy to spot in northern CA... the only Prius without "Yes" bumper stickers.
I'm hoping for SOME sort of dealer coupon soon. I'll be rolling past 60,000 any week now, and having the dealer look at the car this oil change shouldn't hurt...
Just got around to opening my envelope, which arrived sometime last week. It's from the dealer where I bought mine (Auburn), not my local dealer. The coupon (which has my name and the car's VIN printed on it) appears to be good at any "participating" dealer, no minimum service, as mentioned through 5/31/07.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ Mar 12 2007, 08:09 PM) </div> Just got mine today. Hmmmm. Another set of stickers I'm not sticking on the car. 'efusco, just private message me where to send them and they are yours . . . provided the wife doesn't want them (highly doubtful). This is the window stickers: [attachmentid=6877] P.S. I'm keeping the $25 certificate.
I received the decal, sticker and service offer, but I will not take advantage of the offer. I was referred to Michael Toyota (Fresno CA) who has a court record for customer fraud (performing unnecessary work). I purchased my 2005 Prius from Michael and tried working with them. The service manager could not find the odometer reading, the cashier insisted the Prius has conventional keys and the service department either lied about doing oil changes or consistently overfilled the engine with nonsynthetic oil. The service manager had nothing good to say about using a block heater. Michael Toyota and Toyota Corporate offer - No thank you. I admire Corporate Toyota and love our Prius. I can provide superior service in less time and at a lower cost - and service is done on time and correctly the first time, every time. I strive to take excellent care of my 2007 Prius and keep it for a long time. Cute stickers, but largely a waste of money.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Bill Merchant @ Mar 12 2007, 11:01 PM) </div> Bill, I don't think that it is a local promo. I live here in Sherwood Oregon and I have seen the Yes ad on our local channels.
