You know you're a seasoned Prius driver when ....

You get FURIOUS when you meet someone that doesn't like ICE shut down at the stop light.

 

You drive on the access road instead of the freeways because you get better mileage there.

 

You really do consider dieting to improve your gas mileage! :lol:

 

You clean out the junks in the car to minimize weight.

 

You don't get that brief moment of panic (Oh no, I stalled!) when the ICE shuts off at a light...

 

You get into another car and look for the start button. Or you try to open the door without using the remote.

 

You know you're a seasoned Prius driver when....

2 hybrid owners go out for lunch with a 3rd non-hybrid owner and they take the non-hybrid because they don't want the short trip to lower their mpg. (True story.)

 

- You get aggravated at another driver for going slow because you just passed him in "stealth mode".
Done this more than once.

- You try to beat your record of how fast you can go in EV mode before the gas engine starts. (46 fior me)
My best is 44 – 45ish not sure as the ice started

you rent a big truck or something like it to haul stuff and when you get to a stop light and the ice dose not shut off you think something is wrong

Your habit with previous cars was to just let the mud dry and flake off and use the spray to clean enough of the windshield to see out of legally...but NOW you wash and wax weekly to improve your mileage.

 

... you get annoyed when the door knob on your house doesn't unlock automatically when you touch it.

you can recite the location, cycle times and best approach speed of every traffic light on your daily commute to work.

 

When you can recognize the sound of a stealth mode Prius approaching you from behind while walking in a crowded parking lot.
