My friend just bought a leftover 06 with the #8 package. His came with a cover by the rear hatch/trunk that sort of protects the plastic at the top of the rear bumper if you are loading suitcases and such. Where can I find one of these for my 06 ? I'm sure this has been covered before but I couldn't find the part or post

I priced one but don't have the paper right now but I think it was $40 something to $50 something. Maybe there is also an aftermarket one? The OEM part has Prius printed in white across it.
I'm in Hawaii and have had good service with Toyota Of Melbourne Florida. They have a website but their phone is (321)254-8888. Just got the mud flaps ($36.11) and the back bumper protector (the black one, $23.43), shipped UPS ground ($10.00). Fast service, good people to deal with. Used a credit card. The bumper protector says Corolla or Matrix underneath.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ucsbgaucho @ Feb 26 2007, 07:14 AM) </div> I just cut and pasted from a previous post. I got them about a year ago. UPS and Fed Ex both offer ground shipping now. The package goes ground on mainland and space available to Hawaii. The package was a little wet though.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Ecojosh @ Feb 26 2007, 06:46 AM) </div> They have a "buy it now" feature that sells the bumper for around $36, but if you're patient, they put up 2 new bumpers for bidding starting at $24 about 1x week. If there aren't any up when you look, check in every day and they'll put some up (it takes about 2-3 days after they sell the auctioned bumpers to put up new ones). If you can't wait, search "prius bumper" and scroll down to the "buy it now" section. I just won mine from them for $24.01 + shipping! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tigerman @ Feb 26 2007, 07:43 AM) </div> Hey, can you let us know if you like your cargo net? Did you get the spider one? Thanks!

I recently purchase a rear bumper cover from them. It covers the opening area and is designed with a lip which goes over the bumper edge protecting the outside rim of the bumper. price was ok and it shipped to me in three days. It is hard plastic not a stick on sheet of clear plastic.
I recently purchased a cover from Sigma Automotive. Their pricing is good and I received it three days later. Ignore the min order amount they will still honor your order. The cover is hard plastic (looks like the bumper covers on upscale SUV's). It is about as wide as the rear hatch and even hangs over the edge of the bumper to provide extra protection when lifting heavy objects in and out. Installation is a snap. Clean the bumper top off with soap and water, dry remove tape over adhesive strips place and push. Be sure to have it lined up properly you only get one chance. I looked at the clear ones Toyota sells. Cheap, and will not protect against abrasioning. Go to www.sigmaautomotive.com. They have lots of cool stuff right out of Japan. They know how to trick the Prius out. Mouse 1java script:emoticon('B)', 'smid_15') B)
