Well, I don't have a pic right now (my little camera is so small, I LOST IT!)... Anyway, if some of you have seen me zipping around the Bay Area, I, of course, am DR PHLOX...

All I need now, is a license plate frame that says: My other car is a STARSHIP!

Gosh, what plate to get! So hard to decide! Of course, what are the chances that the one I saw and liked the most happened to be in my own state? :mrgreen:

 

My new avatar is my new plate. Ordered and waiting. I really wanted "PWRFULL" for the play on words, but it was taken, like just about everything else I could think of. But that's OK. It may not be a starship (Phlox), but I like the obscure Trek reference....

When I went to the DMV office to ask if "B Green" was taken, the person behind the counter seemed flummoxed and stared at me for a while. Then after an uncomfortable pause, she asked, " Is that your name?"...

The State of Colorado says YES, to my VANITY plates.. I can have
WRTHAW8... WORTH A WAIT... should get them in about 10 weeks, nothing moves very fast with the DMV in Colorado...

Not a Prius plate, but still cute: spotted a Honda Civic Hybrid last week with WA plates reading "CHIMERA".

OK. I upload the picture. Check back and there it is... yet the next day it is gone... What am I doing wrong?

PS. In Tolkien's books, the Ents were the ultimate treehuggers. So I feel like my plates are literary Prius Plates at the very least.

I tried to get the California plate GR33N, but they rejected it for some reason I just can't understand -- said that it was an illegal configuration or something like that.

 

I know in Illinois, you can't have a letter after a numeral. This keeps people from confusing your plate with a real GREEN, or the more confusing I/1 and O/0 characters.

The plate I requested from Illinois ends in a 3. When I get it, I will post it.

 

Next couple days sometime I'm going to the WA DOL and getting "ANUBIS1" for my Prius. I've always been huge in Egyptian mythology and even have the Eye of Ra tattooed on ym wrist. Anubis is the jackal god and keeper of the underworld, and is always depicted as being black. Since I have a black Prius...

Anyone considering a personal plate in WA here's the link to check the availability. Just keep in mind you are somewhat limited. Since there are SO many specialty plates, you can't start it with "UW" (UW plate) "ST" (Stadium Plate) etc... There's a bunch of em too. I originally wanted something like NT RIDR but it wouldn't let me. Forget why at this point.
