I got it to the point of pairing the 7290 and the Prius but havent made much progress thereafter. When trying the "connect" on the 7290 , it always fails. Has anyone got this past this point ? Appreciate any tips or steps.
I see the 7290 is the black 'origional' one? Yes - I've gotten mine paired. I had to : Goto the phone screen, and hit the button to register. Goto my Blackberry, and select the 'Bluetooth' options, and then 'Add/Pair Device'. It'll find something called um.. 'Hands Free'. Connect to it, it'll ask you for the password from the car's LCD - Which I believe defaults to 1111. Do the connect, the car says 'Found'. Then register that phone under Phone 1 (It'll do this automatically) and hit the 'Call' button, slap your number in, and Bob's your uncle. I had a bit of a headscratch moment when I thought it was registered, but it wasn't because I hadn't gotten the BlackBerry to 'connect' to the car, but the Car had found the BlackBerry.. Or something. A couple of minutes fiddling on both ends eventually got it working fine, and I was able to make a call from my car, using my Blackberry, to my house's landline. Steve.
