Anyone know if the Mpg figures given by the on board computer are recalibrated for the American market to take account of the smaller (by 1/3) American Gallons. Would be interested to know this My 03 Prius (last of old models) is giving around 52mpg (European Gallons). This should equate to 39mpg (American). Joe
I've been comparing the readout with calculated MPGs for over 12,000 miles. They vary by only a tenth or two. I'd say it has been calibrated to US gallons.
