    259 Days Later…

    Got the call this morning!

My baby has arrived, not by stork, rather on a truck at the dealership. With the normal prep time it will be ready next Monday. Of course with the banks closed till Tuesday that will be the soonest that I can bring “baby†home.

Coincidentally, my best friend recently delivered her first son after a wait of 8 ½ months. Total wait time on this car…8 ½ months... I guess that good things really do come to those who wait.

Thanks to all of you on PriusChat.com who made the waiting more tolerable.

Good wishes for all those still waiting.

    Greg

Congratulations, Greg!!! I now have about 500 miles on Priapus and haven't stop grinning yet.

You now officially qualify for the Prius Wave

    261 and still counting...

To continue the baby motif…apparently it was false labor.

I was faxed my workup sheet this morning the total for the car was way too low.

HINT # 1: No one sells these cars at a discount.

When I called my dealer and pointed this out, he immediately said that the “lady who keeps the files†was “out for the weekend†so he could not confirm that the car delivered on Saturday was actually mine.

HINT # 2: Whenever someone who is “unnamed†and coincidentally “out
of the office†is mentioned, somebody screwed up royally.

So if you haven’t guessed by now…drum roll please…the car delivered was not mine.

    Oh well,

    261 days and still counting…

[font=Comic Sans MS:236906e771] [/font:236906e771] This also happened to me. They told me that they had an allocation and that I would be getting the car at the end of June. In June they told me it was in F status. When I called back they said ooooooops we didn't look at the list you weren't #1, you are #2. ( My take on it is they sold it to a higher bidder)

In July they got one in but it was Driftwood and it wasn't one of my four color choices so I passed on it.) They told me they only get one a month so on August 24th after a 269 day wait, almost 9 months, I took delivery of a silver Pkg #5 - my exact color and package choice.

How many cars does your dealer get each month?

    Good luck!

I don't think Prius Chat makes waiting more tolerable. If anything, I want mine more than ever every time I come here.
