Nothing special added yet - just thought I'd post some photos. I really like the way the black looks with the 07 tail lights!

Looks great! Black isn't my favorite car color usually, but I really like a black Prius.

Really pretty. Reminds me of how good the car looks when clean. Ours is black too and in desperate need of a wash -- currently white on the bottom from salt and white on the top from snow. :(

Ah, I thought your screen name looked familiar. I post on DWeb as JamesWyatt. The Prius is quite a contrast to any Rover!

What's that stripe along the body?
I'm always wondering abt this. Some ppl say the dealers put these stripes when they are selling a used car. Is it true?

    Beautiful!

Black is not my favorite color, but it does look nice.

Our Barcelona Red is in desperate need of a bath. But here in Denver, the new Fargo - it is 16 degrees now, a high of 5 tomorrow and more snow on the way, washing the car in not in the cards.

    8 straight weeks of snow - - - - - - - - - - - -

Yup that is me. I love my rover and it has been my third vehicle for awhile now. I am thinking of picking up a Prius for my DD. I like the mileage and what it can do to help the environment. I am getting old now and I think about my kids future and how my generation will hand it over. Good to see someone from dweb crossover.

It's a favorite add-on from Gulf States Toyota for this region. Pure dealer mark-up/profit.

So are these trim rings just stuck on the painted steel wheels in order to look like alloys, or do I have alloys with plastic trim rings?

I don't like the way they look w/o the trim rings... But as we all have seen on here, everyone has a different opinion about them. They are just plastic trim rings stuck onto the alloy rims. They supposedly do help with highway gas mileage a weeee bit...

I agree, the prius looks great in black. I just never liked when a dealer puts striping on any car, nonetheless a beautiful black car such as the prius. It should be up to the buyer to want something such as a stripe put onto their vehicle... Anyway, good luck with it!

    I don't think so.

We had stripes (silver/gold) on our dark green 97 Corolla. It was a showroom car.

btw, nice pics! They really waxed it well!

G4 eh? haven't seen those around, just the regular ol' Discos

It's a regular 2004 with a few add-ons, orange paint and some stickers from the factory. Land Rover has a G4 Challenge every year, and 200 G4 Edition Discos were produced in an homage to the vehicles used in the competition. But, just like all the other Discos, it's a leaky, squeaky, quirky, gas-guzzling goatmobile with horrible resale value. But I still love it. :p

    Holy cow!

When we bought the Prius it was late at night, cold and rainy. I thought it had just hubcaps on steel wheels. It's quite a perplexing look for alloys.

The Prius replaced the wife's vehicle (a 2004 New Beetle Convertible), and then we switched cars. She has the short commute, so she drives the Disco. My commute every day is 30 miles one-way. I was filling up the Disco every 4 days at $45+ a pop. The wife was quite gracious to let me trade in her car - I really didn't want to drive a Beetle Convertible every day, plus at almost 50 mpg, the Prius just made sense. The trade-off is we don't have to move closer to my job, and she likes that we stay in our current house/area. I'd like to say I bought the Prius to better the world, but to be honest, I was just tired of throwing away money at the pump. I guess helping reduce pollution is just a nice side-effect.

    Agreed.

Back in the 90s, we owned at one time or another a new Toyota Paseo, 4-Runner, Tercel, and Corolla. It seemed like every vehicle on the lot was striped at the port by Gulf States Toyota (something like a $200 added cost on the sticker!!!), and I had them remove it on all but the 4-Runner, which wasn't pin striped but had factory graphics down the side. I had to laugh when we went to shop for a Toyota for the first time in 10 years (and in a different city) and found that most of the vehicles on the lot were striped.

Your rear lower bumper fins (behind rear tires) looks like Silver color. I thought they all come in black. Or is it all cover with salt? I cant tell.

Count me in as an LR/Prius owner. I have a Range Rover Sport S/C in silver to match my Silver Prius.

At least the side stripes are just tape and you can take them off. I've seen dealer hire a paint guy to paint it on then sign the trunk. For putting two little stips of paint! Does the oil change guy sign the hood after he's finished?
