Thanks to mwbueno Ok, first here's the compressed version: And the original one - almost 1MB in size, but good for a desktop wallpaper or something. Original Cutaway Pic
I noticed the rear brake too. Does that mean it's German? It sparked my interest, and made me want to ask where the picture came from. I also noticed it on the YG back when it was posted there. Perhaps the real reason for me making this post is to unravel the mystery of who mwbueno is. It is posts like this one made by htmlspinnr from another PriusChat thread that intrigue me about mwbueno. Does he have a website I could visit? ~Andrew
Hi everyone, I've got this picture on the french 2004 pre-release booklet. If someone is interested, I can scan the entire booklet (about 10 pages), but I don't know where to put it (large files !). You can see interesting details on it, like rear disk brakes and other stuff we will have (march 04, can't stand to wait !). By the way, I'll be VERY interested by Mr Wayne Brown's web site. The only adress I know about him is http://www.seawell.net/Prius/, but this site is REALLY under construction ! I've got the Palm simulator, but I can't remeber where I took it from. I can put it somewhere if someone want it (170 K). It has also a power consumption simulator and other very interesting stuff. The guy who did this does know quit a bit about the Prius ! Richard. 8)
Richard, Thanks for the website link. If you find a way to post your images from the French Pre-release book I'm sure everyone here on PriusChat would love to take a look at them. I'd like to have a look at the Palm Simulator too and I'll let everyone know where I find it (if I find it). ~Andrew
Wayne just posted a new link to his updated THS II Simulator at the 2004-YG http://www.seawell.net/Prius/PalmTHS2/THS2HiRes22.zip
Hi Andrew, As soon as I have the time (maybe this week-end, I'm a twin baby's father !), I'll scan the French pre-pre-release (!) and the pre-release book and post it somewhere (maybe on YG). Waiting this, there is the fresh new release (today, 3pm !) of the THS II Palm simulator from Wayne's genius : http://www.seawell.net/Prius/PalmTHS2/THS2HiRes22.zip Have fun ! Richard. 8)
I can host them if you need somewhere to put them. Just let me know whenever you're done scanning them in.
A TRULY COOL TOOL!!! I can't imagine the hours it took to write. Downloaded in a few seconds to my Macintosh eMac G4 running 10.3.2 Panther. Loaded quickly into my Palm tungsten T3. Both apps played the first time. This will REALLY make my Service Advisor's head hurt. Many, many thanks. Bob
I knew I saw this picture somewhere ! Finally, it's not on the french pre-released booklets (that I will scan, anyway), but in a french automotive newspaper article. I posted the pictures in the "Photos" section. May I suggest to the Admin to create a photos section especially for foreign views of the Prius ? That might be interesting for U.S. customers to know what they could miss (and try to get it). I think it will be less frustrating than trying to understand Gandji on toyota.co.jp !!! Best regards, Richard. 8)
Richard - Great suggestion! I've now created an International Pictures section and have moved the pics that you posted into that section. Thanks for the idea and for your contributions to PriusChat! Danny
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(richard_durant @ Feb 11 2004, 04:55 AM) </div> I also noticed the height adjustment pump handle on the drivers seat, I've only seen this before on the right hand drive Japanese models. Good to know Toyota has put height adjustable drivers seats on the left side too. Now the problem is, where can I get my hands on one? I have seen the modification for a 2005 Corolla seat, but I don't know where to get one of those either?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ilusnforc @ Jan 4 2007, 12:28 PM) </div> I'm not sure it's a height adjustment pump handle. It looks like the exterior door handle to me. There's a smiliar looking on where the rear door handle would be too.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Skwyre7 @ Jan 4 2007, 12:12 PM) </div> I wasn't referring to the door handle, I'm looking at the two black handles on the seat. The shorter handle toward the back is the one we all have to tilt the seat back, the longer handle is a height adjustment, try reading this thread: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=22855
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(04prius @ Feb 10 2004, 06:22 PM) </div> D'ya mean to tell me that US delivered Prius has DRUM brakes on the rear  I'm amazed if that's the case. My Australian model has the EV switch and disc brakes on the rear. I am truly blessed
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Benonymous @ Jan 4 2007, 10:12 PM) </div> ya.. we get rear drum brakes, no height adjustment, no EV Drive button, no alcantara option and 15" alloys but we add a fuel tank bladder and coolant thermos. US adds HIDs and leather interior Canada adds mudguards, wheel locks, cargo net, carpet mats
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Skwyre7 @ Jan 4 2007, 01:12 PM) </div> The Australian Prius has driver seat height adjustment. It also has disk brakes all round.
