latest # of HOV stickers issued?

That must be what happened. I called the number on my rejection letter this morning (over and over and over until it wasn't busy) and spoke to someone who looked up my info and said it was all in the computer now and had no explanation for why I was rejected the first time. So I made another trip to the post office for another overnight delivery to Sacramento.

The strange thing is that when I got my plates I also got the official, printed registration papers, and they have both my VIN and my license plate number on them. So my information had to be in *some* computer before that, and I didn't mail my application until after I had the registration and plates in hand. But maybe it wasn't updated in all the DMV's computers yet.

Either that or someone mistyped my VIN when looking up my records. I don't think I'll ever know for sure.

 

Bought prius Dec.19, snail mailed app to DMV on Jan. 14, noticed $8 check cashed today, Jan. 24.

 

What do you know! I just checked my online banking and noticed the $8 check cashed by DMV. I guess I made the cut just in time.

1) Application sent 17JAN Overnight

2) Check cashed today 24th JAN

Thats weird, they received my letter as of 16th and my check has not been cleared..

Whew! got em! There's up to 95,400 and some stickers issued as of last Thursday. I repeat, Whew! This was close!

I sent my application 12/20, check was cashed 1/8 but I have not recieved my stickers yet. I just called DMV to confirm my application and the lady said I should be getting a sticker, but they are not accepting anymore applicants which means they are officially out.

That's very interesting because I just called DMV (916-657-8035) to confirm my stickers and the DVM supervisor I spoke with told me they have 525 stickers left. He did say the stickers are going fast. I should be getting mine in a couple of weeks!! Good luck

She may have meant to say if I sent in my application today I wouldn't make the last few hundred.

She called back (her name is Liz and was very helpful and friendly) and told me that stickers were already issued for my car, so I will be getting replacement stickers. I guess that's why my sticker was taking so long, because I check on the "new" application box.

Yay! I'm gauranteed stickers.

 

Has anyone received a rejection letter recently because there are no stickers left?

 

I've got a call in to my dealership's DMV person to try and get my plate #. I purchased mine on Jan 13, called last week to try and speed up the DMV process and she said there were about 550 left at that time. Hopefully I can get an answer today and get my application out in the mail... but I'm not crossing my fingers.
