2016 prius c ambient temperature sensor

    hi? please, were can i find or locate the ambient sensor. i have remove the front bumper partially and the plastic cover under the car but i cannot find the sensor. on driver side there is a socket that is just sitting there, i think it a setup for fog light and there are two wires black and white just floating around with no socket

    thank you very much. what is A12 and A8. do you have the complete listing of the wiring diagram

    prius c owners could you post picture of your ambient temp sensor. it's location and wire of the sensor please.

    A8 and A12 are the turn signal and fog light connectors. (not sure which is which, it's different for the facelifted models like our 2018)

    If you've already found the fog light connector tucked away up there, you can follow that branch back. If these black-and-white wires are coming from the same loom, chances are that's where your temp sensor was.

    If you hit the right road debris, the sensor can be torn off the bottom of the car, and this would explain why you found the wiring the way you did.

    You can get wiring repair kits that would work with a replacement part, or if you go to a junkyard just chop a foot or so off that car's wire so you can do your own splice point upstream of the damage point on your wires.
