Just how the hell

    For what it's worth, I don't think hub bearings are any more fun in a gen 2.

    Yeah that's a smart move The hub bearings in the rear are actually the same basically You just don't have disc brakes so you have to keep your backing plate and it's also heavier than the thin thing that's sitting there behind your brake rotor that's just a dust shield on a drum brake system that backing plate is pretty stout as it's not just a backing plate and hold your wheel cylinder and all that nonsense The brake shoes and all of it but it generally comes off without any ado and then that's out of your way and then if the car is jacked up properly where I live a 5 lb maul . Will generally beat the assembly through I kroil the crap out of it day before . Or if it's really ugly someplace like New England I start spraying it about 4 days before I work on

    @Stu9 I think the simple answer would be: have a professional shop deal with it. I know.
