At the moment I listen to what's on my 'phone ( radio, music etc.) via a cable connected to the aux socket. Unfortunately, with using it all the time, the 'phone socket connection has weakened and the cable keeps dropping out. I'm wondering if I can get some kind of bluetooth connector to plug into the aux instead but if I connected my 'phone to that, would it affect the normal bluetooth connection for the hands free. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I bought this: UGREEN Aux to Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter 3.5mm Bluetooth Receiver for Car USB 2.0 to 3.5mm Jack Kit with Built-in Microphone Aux Input for Hands-Free Calls Compatible with Car Speakers and Home Audio and have found it to work well to stream from my phone via Bluetooth. It does not interfere with the car's inbuilt hands-free system.
I totally forgot to mention that you need a USB-A plug to plug the UGreen device into. You can use something like this: plugged into the 12V outlet in the console then the whole shebang is concealed and out of sight. I have a 12-Volt Cup Holder Power Outlet with 2 USB-A plugs that occupies one of the cupholders in the front of the console – something like this: into which I plug my UGreen device. So there are options.
