Some of the custom settings may be lost if the 12-volt battery is disconnected though.

Hey Mendal, are you still rolling in the Gen3 liftback then?? You've been very helpful w/me on this forum with any questions/issues I've posted here.. wifey still has her Gen3... I've still got the V... love the looks of the new Prii's, but not sure if we can beat the tariff issue or if it's even worth trying..

Except that now, with the upcoming tariffmageddon, toyota car buyers have no leverage again.

    Are sure of that?

I haven't tested it, but l wonder if those custom settings are incorporated in flash memory chip(s) in the car?

Just speculation. Disconnecting battery has proven to set a lot of things back to defaults, plus trip meters, displays, window auto-up sometimes needs reset. May change with the gen's.

    Great, hope it helps.

    I used the carista to:
-kill the seatbelt buzzers on all 5 seats
-increase the no. of turn signal flashes on a half pull
-change the volume of the turn signal clicky noise
-make it so l can simultaneously open/close all of the windows from the fob

HA, yea... (tariffmageddon) is about right...
especially with the Prii's.. since they're all built in Japan only (as I understand it)

    speaking of 12v battery..
we are still running the 'original' 12v battery on my wife's Gen3 2011 liftback.. crazy I know. but so far it's working..
I do keep a small 12v starter pack in the car, just in case of a sudden 12v failure.

Have you checked your owners manual? I have similar warmings in my Camry manual
