Having left the snooty world of Porschedum - there are more fake 356s on the road nowadays then originally made. The company that spits them out is called Intermeccanica - located in BC Canada iirc. Some of their plastic cars are quite a hoot. Brand new style big Porsche wheels & massive disc brake rotors, a V8 version, ev version etc.

Anyone know what an Armeggia (not sure about the spelling, but pronounced arm-eh-gi-uh) is? I saw this old convertible, looked like European, maybe '50s or '60s, and someone said that's what it was.

Hmm. Good question. I can’t seem to recall how that would look like.

    Nope.

It looked similar to that, but I recall the headlights being two sets of double housings. But the name seems too close (I probably misheard originally) to be coincidence. Maybe I saw a different model of that? Oh well. On another note, I saw a new Maserati Ghibli and what may have been a first gen Prius (it was too dark to be sure, it may have been a 5th gen Camry).

Did you scroll through the whole Wikipedia page? There were a bunch of different Karmann Ghia looks over the years.

Maybe two errors: they misidentified it AND you misheard them.

At least you're seeing noteworthy cars!

I did, but as I only saw the car for a few seconds my memory doesn’t serve me well enough to be sure.

Very true! Oh well, some things will remain a mystery.

Gotta admit you piqued my curiosity; there aren't a lot of 1960s convertibles with headlights such as you describe. Unless you count the Americans...

My mom had that in a hardtop. She & dad would go on vacation .... I'd Hotwire it - disconnect the speedo & drive friends around all over the county. Good times.

My favorite catch today was a C6 Corvette, and I also saw another 5th gen Mustang GT, with one of the best sounding exhausts I've ever heard.

I saw a Saab 900 convertible moving under its own power, and it even had the SPG rims.

At our Little League baseball fields, a new Jaguar F-Type and a C8 Corvette.
EDIT: Also just saw a minty fresh '60s Chevy Malibu, as well as an R32 Skyline.

    That’s the 3-spoke one?

Ford SVT Contour, MB R320 CDI, Fox body GT 5.0L convertible, last gen E63 S AMG wagon with a roof box (pretty sure I’ve seen this one before. I usually see it downtown so maybe they live there), RS6 Avant.

Special mention: Jasper Pearl Camry Hybrid. Still can’t believe they offered this colour.

Yep, the Saab performance group got those wild 3-spoke alloys.

Just saw I unique old 80's clunker, a Mercury Grand Marquis LS. Looked well taken care of, the owner was washing it as a matter of fact in our neighborhood carwash.
EDIT: Also my first Charger EV, a black one. Not sure what trim though.
