After Elon's millions didn't buy the judge Trump was so sure he would get, maybe he doesn't have any use for Elon any more ...... Will there be a DOGE 2.0 that goes through and tears up Elon's contracts?

After the craziness of selling X to his A I, for $11,000 less than he paid for it, to a company over priced by so much it is almost laughable ..... until you realise that anything ever posted on twitter or X, is now the property of an A I who will no doubt be pushed towards making enough money to pay Elon for the purchase price ...... Anyone with a Twitter or X account should be real worried now ...... Losing big on Tesla shares might be the least of your problems ....

I wonder if the Buffett April Fools news article tricked the devotees into buying stock while it was cheap, only to suffer even more shame .....

Not too shabby isn’t typically the term used with such a large miss.
While the Y update is partially to blame, the lackluster Cybertruck sales for the last 3 quarters is concerning.

I’m surprised at how amiable the ‘break-up’ appears so far.Usually when Trump decides it is time for someone to go, there is no soft glove treatment.

he did persist with the falcon doors though, so i should have known better

Please take this as just sharing something I stumbled on:

    CONTENT FROM OUR AFFILIATES
I don't care about Elon's distractions as much as what happens to Tesla's greatest resource, the skilled employees. This is soon reflected by consumer choices towards alternatives to Tesla products. The most I'll go is a used, HW 4.0 Model 3 or Y. As for new, Tesla solar already lost to a 3d party contractor selling a technologically better solar project.

I'm just glad part of my final payment is in short-selling TSLA. Per Friday's close, up a total of $300 on 10 shares @$270/share. I have a $195 "buy to close" order that expires first week of May when I close it out. If it goes my way, I'll have made ~$700 in 60 days.

6 months ago the stock was at $215. So even with all of the virtue signaling social justice terroristic Warriors doing their dirty eeds, the stock is still up ... turning on where the start line is drawn. Glad we got out when things were even better.

I can share my TSLA ownership:
    upload_2025-4-5_9-35-31.png

The red box are 10 shares, on "short-sell",

Do you have TSLA stock history of the "the virtue signaling social justice terroristic Warriors?" Not some MAGAot fantasy but actually named individuals who owned TSLA stock?

We do have: Tesla stock falls after Trump official urges Americans to ‘invest in Elon Musk’ | Trump administration | The Guardian

    (Thu 20 Mar 2025 09.49 EDT)
Donald Trump’s commerce secretary told Americans to buy stock in Elon Musk’s electric car company, only for shares in Tesla to keep falling.

“I think, if you want to learn something on this show tonight, buy Tesla,” Howard Lutnick told Fox News on Wednesday. “It’s unbelievable that this guy’s stock is this cheap. It’ll never be this cheap again.”

He added: “I mean, who wouldn’t invest in Elon Musk? You gotta be kidding me.”
    . . .

    Technically, he was correct:
    upload_2025-4-5_9-57-19.png

So I like this good post:
You've shown the good sense to not buy any more TSLA stock instead of following Lutnick's investment advice. It is this latent connection to reality that gives me hope the MAGAots will become woke.

Elon Musk has become corrupt, but not by money.
He has been corrupted by fame and power. He has been called a genius so many times that it went to his head, and he saw his further path to glory with Trump, so giving him $350M was his ticket to the stars and beyond -at least in his mind.

i'm more concerned with where tesla stock price is going since the post inauguration bump, than where it was 6 months ago. along with the rest of our investments.

I look at it as Elon's plan was to get enough wealth, on paper at least, to appear untouchable and a demigod to aid his far right push, to make the world the way he remembered it when he did the runner for South Africa.

He saw how easy it was for his father, and those in the same peer group, to turn millions into billions when the social system was at that time in SA history, so if he can repeat it, then the billions on paper could be turned into billions in gold reserves, real money .....

Just like when he "bet the house" on getting Tesla off the ground and to where it was, before this minor interruption in the master plan, he is willing to "bet the house" again to achieve his goal ....... Yet to see how many people lose their life saving in this bet, and if he gets luck twice ....... I'm not sure he has the same ratio of believers to haters that he had back then ..... and they were only believers v doubters back then .... much harder to convert a hater to a believer, than a doubter to a believer, especially when the haters don't agree with his end goal ..... that is leaning more toward the disillusioned to hater conversion, than to converting them back into believers ...... Not many are willing to "bet the house" he can pull it off this time ......

You might want to read "Elon Musk" by Walter Isaacson. Walter had multiple interviews with Musk, his family members, and employees, direct observations.

I've already read it so PM a message with a mailing address and I'll send you my copy. Actually this is an open invitation to anyone who wants the benefits of Isaacson's direct observations.

I've seen two others, a grandfather and young Marine, who became paranoid, schizophrenics almost overnight to over a few years. Elon's descent into insanity roughly starts with his purchase of Twitter (covered in the book.) Mental health is as important as physical health.

When I bought an AR-15 about 50 years after last firing an M-16 in the Marines, I brought it up with my family physician. I wanted to make sure my risk assessment was realistic and not a fantasy. Of course, she may be as nuts as I am but I doubt it. She hasn't recommended a horse dewormer, Ivermectin, over a Covid vaccination and booster.

Partial list - drugs prescribed to humans as well as animals.

    Antibiotics:

Amoxicillin: A common antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections.

Other antibiotics: While many antibiotic classes are approved for both humans and animals, be cautious about crossover use as animals may react to excipients or overdosing, and subtherapeutic dosing can promote antibiotic resistance.

    Pain Medications:

Gabapentin and Pregabalin: These medications, commonly known as Lyrica, are used for pain management in both humans and animals, often used off-label in veterinary medicine.

Tramadol: Used for pain relief, but larger doses may be required for animals due to their metabolism.

Opioids: Medications like fentanyl, morphine, methadone, hydromorphone, ketamine, buprenorphine, and hydrocodone, are used for pain management in both humans and animals, but should be used with caution and under veterinary supervision.

    Antidepressants:

Fluoxetine (Prozac): Used to treat behavioral issues like anxiety, aggression, and obsessive-compulsive disorders in animals, as well as depression in humans.

    Other Medications:

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Medications like ibuprofen, naproxen, and others are used to reduce inflammation, fever, and pain in both humans and animals.

Benzodiazepines: Medications like alprazolam (Xanax) are used to treat anxiety and seizures in both humans and animals.

Levothyroxine: Used to treat hypothyroidism in both humans and animals, but dosages can differ significantly between species.

Atenolol: Used to treat high blood pressure in both humans and animals.

Hydrochlorothiazide: A diuretic used to remove excess fluid from the body, used in both human and animal medicine.

ACE inhibitors: Used to treat high blood pressure in both humans and animals.

Atorvastatin: Used to lower cholesterol levels in both humans and animals.

Ivermectin: A broad-spectrum antiparasitic medication used to treat and prevent heartworm and intestinal worms in animals, and also used in humans for certain parasitic infections.

Yes of course it's validating to infer insanity when political opponents don't do what we want them to do.

As for twitter, it no longer cancels , stupid or intelligent thought - as it used to. That doesn't seem to have caused sky is falling scenarios. Best speech is free speech.

So if uninformed people think a drug is being given to humans when it's supposed to be for animals? Now we can actually talk about it without fear of being canceled. Getting the whole story is good.

I doubt your customs folks would approve of my AR-15 <GRINS>.

Actually the words in the book are more effective than my AR-15.

if you go back through leons tweets well before he purchased twitter, the insanity started a long time ago. but we chose to ignore (and call it genius) it because of his business successes

There are "shades of gray" in our species. So I admired when in 2017 he quit the first Trump "advisory council' over leaving the Paris Accord. But that was then and this is now:
    upload_2025-4-6_15-49-13.png
Musk is nuts but the others . . . no sympathy.

    Just remember the old joke:

According to legend an automobile driver noticed that a tire was going flat, and pulled over to the side of a lonely road adjacent to a tall metal fence. While replacing the tire with a spare the apprehensive driver removed the four lug nuts and accidentally dropped them down a sewer grate.

A figure behind the metal fence saw the dispirited driver and presented a clever solution to the awful predicament. Each tire could be attached with three lug nuts, and the car could be driven to a service station for further assistance. The helpful person was a resident of a mental asylum, and the anecdote ended with this didactic exchange: “How is it that you could give such sound advice?” “I may be nuts but I’m not stupid.”
