Just curious about the difference visually between the base LE and XLE on the exterior. I know there is alot more options and tech once you move up to the XLE but I am interested in the exterior differences only. I can see the wheels go from 17" to 19" with different rims. The XLE has the sunroof which is not on the LE. I also saw someone mention the exterior lights are slightly different between these 2 trims, can someone elaborate on that? Also am I missing any other exterior differences?
The XLE has a full width light bar at the back, gloss black arches, front bumper, rear bumper and ''B' pillar. Depends where you are really. In the UK. The indicator lights are integrated into the daytime running lights too, whereas they are separate on the base trim.
Interesting, there is more differences than i thought. Are all these things you mentioned related to the lights- "gloss black arches, front bumper, rear bumper and B pillar"? Or are these just minor body details not sure if you can elaborate? I am unfamiliar with what the gloss black arches and B pillar are.
Starting from the front: 1. The lower grille surround is black/very dark gray in the LE but has a silver ring in the XLE. 2. The XLE has accent lights on either side of the lower grille. 3. The headlight assemblies are different. The XLE has an integrated light strip for running lights, the LE uses one of the regular lights. Look for photos of them illuminated for specifics. 4. 17" wheels with wheel covers vs 19" wheels 5. The black plastic over the wheel arch is matte black on the LE and gloss black on the XLE. 6. On the LE, the entire roof and shark fin antenna will be body color. On the XLE with sunroof option, the roof will be glass with the section between the roof and rear hatch(including the antenna) being black. 7. The B-pillars may be different; matte black on the LE/gloss on XLE). These are the black parts where the front and rear door windows meet.* 8. The central red section of the taillight(part of the hatch but separate from the 3rd brake light) is illuminated in the XLE but not in the LE. 9. The lower portion of the bumper cover is matte black in the LE and gloss black in the XLE. *The pillars are what connect the body to the roof. They're labeled front to back starting with A. The A-pillars are on either side of the windshield. The B-pillars are between the front and rear doors. The C-pillars are on either side of the rear hatch. (larger vehicles can have D-pillars)
