Looks like the climate deniers aren't working hard enough to destroy one of the best climate problem diffusers Seems as if all the Tesla hatred may be backfiring against the minority that push hate/violence. Poor rudkus .
Took a peek: ($270 - 235) * 10 = $350.00 :: ahead on my short-sell I am thinking about changing my sell order from $135 to something higher: ($270 - 195) * 10 = $750.00 :: a pause and re-short I close out my short-position and bank the profits. Then immediately, do another "short-sell" with the larger margin. In effect, taking profits while the downward trend continues. Bob Wilson
I'm testing how to "short-sell" and learning lessons. So I just canceled my 10 share short target af $135 to $195. If that transaction clears, I'll do a maximum, short-sell, of my remaining margin followed by another "buy-to-cover" of about 3/4 of the short-sell "buy." Each subsequent cycle increases my potential profits while minimizing my risks. Let me share an analogy. You are on a down elevator that magically puts a quarter on each step. You turn around and take a step up and pickup the quarter. Repeat until you reach what you think is the bottom and get off with your quarters. Bob Wilson
The whole market is down, especially Nasdaq. Exacerbating that is the number of progressive voters that are/were Tesla fans now are Musk haters. JeffD
Not me. I hate what he is doing but see him more as having gone insane. I never hated those I knew who went crazy but I took reasonable precautions. I am not so forgiving about sociopaths. Bob Wilson
Yea...I just hate it when someone tries to expose and cut government waste, abuse and fraud. My 401K is up 31% from last year. Just under 14 months to retire now.
It would be a good thing, if it were real. Look at how many "savings" have evaporated because the Musketters are chasing sensational headlines to shore up their jobs, they seem to find another one to take the spot light off the ones that proved to be poor maths or simply errors because they didn't investigate further. Claims of people being paid pensions at ridiculous ages, panned out to be people still on record, not having been marked as deceased, not that they are still being paid ...... all of these systems have cut off dates progressively closer together the older the client. No reply to a request for verification stops payment there and then. Every govt social security system does this, not just clever Americans, but at the same time, Americans aren't likely to ignore what every other country does ....... Now, if they really did expose waste, abuse and fraud, a certain President would be making executive orders from behind bars, a certain car salesman now stock promoter, would have been deported when caught breaking his visa commitments. If sprouting complete fabrications in an attempt to increase the perceived stock value, isn't a form of fraud, then what is your definition of the word? I do feel sorrow for the average American, they are proud of the country and must feel bad that the rest of the world is shaking their heads in disbelief, that these two can get away with the sort of thing that would have them behind bars long ago ..... Interesting to watch how partisan politics effects perception. FTR...my 401K went up under President Biden as well. I don't give either credit or blame for this, still don't own an EV and I still don't invest in Transports...of any kind. YMMV
Retired in 2016, initially I moved my 301k into diverse stocks including gold. After monitoring for about six months, I moved the losing stocks into the gaining stock. Eventually, it was all in TSLA. The TSLA increased and there was a 3-for-1 split and later a 2-for-1 split along with a 3x increase in price. In effect, 3 * 2 * 3 ~= 18x gain. Last year, I sold it all because the former admired CEO had became distracted. He lost "first principles." Recently, I shorted TSLA. On paper today: 03/10/2025 - 03/05/2025 = 5 days 100 * ($270 - $223) / $270 ~= +17% Lather, rinse, and repeat. Bob Wilson
