I stumbled across a YouTube video that traces world wide CO{2} from 1850 to 2023. So I thought to plot my life in CO{2}:

    CO2_1950.jpg
    • Born December 1949, my first year
    • USA: 2.566 B tons year 1
      • 151,325,798 people
      • 2,556,000000/151,325,798 = 16.891 ton/person
    CO2_1971.jpg
    • Turned 21 and began living independent of my parents
    • USA: 4.448 B tons
      • (2.566 + 4.448)/2 = 3.507 B tons per year
      • 3.597 * 21 = 75.537 B tons
      • 208,372,000 people
      • 75,537,000,000/208,372,000 = 362.51 tons/person
    CO2_2006.jpg
    • Bought my first of three Prius to save gas money
    • USA: 6.107 B tons
      • (6.107 + 4.488)/2 = 5.298 B tons/year
      • 35 * 5.298 =185.43 B tons/year
      • 300,000,000 people
      • 185,430,000,000/300,000,000 = 618.1 tons/person
    • China 6.073 B tons
    CO2_2019.jpg
    • Bought 2019 Tesla Model 3 and went 99.9% all electric driving
    • USA: 5.099 B tons
      • (6.107 + 5.099)/2 = 5.603 B tons/year
      • 3 year * 5.603 = 16.809 B tons
      • 328,239,523 people
      • 16,809,000,000/328,239,523 = 51.21 tons/person
    • China: 10,767 B tons
    CO2_2023.jpg
    • Last year of data from source
    • USA: 4.911 B tons
      • (5.099 + 4.911)/2 = 5.005 B tons/per year
      • 4 * 5.005 = 20.02 B tons
      • 334.914.895 people
      • 20,020,000,000/334,914,895 = 59.776 tons/person
    • China: 11.903 B tons
    CONCLUSION

Over my life up until 2023:
    • 16.89+362.51+618.10+51.21+59.78 = 1,108.49 tons/person

It would be interesting to know what CO2 percentage comes from cows & the occasional volcano eruption.

    Very well see

Cattle and buffaloes total about 7 gigatons CO2/yr. That is a bit expanded because some emitted as CH4 which absorbs more infrared.

Volcanoes total about 0.3 gigatons CO2/yr but a really big one could be bigger. Where volcanoes also put new basalt raocks on the surface, those begin to sequester CO2 from atmosphere. Slowly because they have little surface area, but they can be crushed to speed things up. Volcanoes can be said to play both sides of the street.

At age 75, 6ft ‘deeper’ springs to mind.
