My dogs are used to drinking water from the nice solid Gen 2 cup holder in the rear seat. Solid plastic shaped like 2 jumbo muffin tins. My new-to-me 2017 V has a fold out cup holder in back with spindly "arms" that expand when you fold it out to hold two cups. This is not working. The water cups when near empty fall out of the protective arms and on to the floor, impossible to fix from the front when the cup rolls away. I've tried searching for inserts but nothing seems to apply to those spindly fold out arms... Anyone have an idea of something that would work or how I should search? Ideally it would be some kind of an insert that holds two cups securely and fits inside the existing contraption. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Try looking on Etsy a lot of people on Etsy print 3D things for their vehicles from vases for their Volkswagen bugs to things that fit in cupholders and various and sundry vehicles.
I'm pretty sure what I'm imagining the spindly cup holders are is nothing like what they are in real life ( IRL ) from your description above. <- disclaimer in advance >. Connect the two cups / bowls together ( glue and sticks , twine , attach cups to the center console , a combination of all those things...) or put weights in / or underneath the bottoms of the bowls so they don't fall out when empty.
I feel your pain something I have has those exact cup holders I'm trying to think of what it is and looking for the vehicle in the parking lot as we speak and they suck they break if you look at them they're horrible probably hard to replace hard to find oh my Corolla I think has those in the back complete junk We don't even use them they've been folded up for life Just sitting there No one rides back there anyway and my cat is not worried about the cupholders but yeah it's terrible.
