He likes to take things home mainly because it’s getting one over on someone or some entity. In this case the government. Saw it with the documents, the difference from others who did lesser amounts by mistake of staff, he literally refused to hand them over himself. Was correctly charged for it too.
Also his announcement doesn’t mean it’s happening. Like I said before his followers believe “I’m going to” as it already happened. Plus he is a proven serial liar, unable to tell an unembellished story.
Office of Public Affairs | Former IRS Contractor Sentenced for Disclosing Tax Return Information to News Organizations | United States Department of Justice Trump's taxes will probably NOT be leaked again! That's for sure...... I would have taken a plea deal for a felony conviction, probation, and a large fine, myself. It would appear that the DOJ can be equal opportunity over-prosecutors.
If he had released them, as he time and again said he would be doing in the next period of time, would that have been considered a leak?
The sociopath in Chief once said 'taking the 5th is admission of guilt.' The same applies to his taxes. Bob Wilson
Ever read the non-disclosure warning papers you have to sign to access IRS or SS data? They are pretty specific, you only get to sign them after you take a class and the severe penalties for violating the rules have been explained. Even as an employee if you just peek and don't say anything to anybody you are in big trouble. But never fear, there will be fewer people with access since the number of IRS employees has been so severely cut. Undercutting any argument that the cuts the DOGE folks are making is about saving money and better balancing the budget.
I don't really care who is doing the audit, I just wanna see the results of the audit, with photos as proof. And I'm curious about what the gold price will be after the audit is released to the public. Something tells me it won't happen. The Epstein Files drop was a nothingburger with extra weaksauce.
I haven't yet figured out how to do the arithmetic of "minus n IRS employees who had appropriate, least-privilege, auditable access granted, plus m nineteen-and-twentysomethings given unauditable admin access".
"Trump's taxes will probably NOT be leaked again! That's for sure......" Not obvious how "probably ... for sure" works, but DoGE unhindered access to Fed databases could allow that information moving into private hands. What happens after would be speculation. DoGE employees might have no more job security than real Govt employees. But with a bag of dirty laundry for 'insurance'? Better.
Fortunately (?), they haven't got my tax return yet, because the USPS (which has had it since 18 February) has not delivered it yet.
Oh, for the days when our data breaches were the work of foreign state actors. I'm getting all teary eyed.
