Question about using Toyota App to remote start Prius

    Prius LE AWD 2023, I have signed up for the Go Anywhere plan which includes Remote Connect. So I can use my app on the phone to remotely start my vehicle. That part works. In the app, I can set the Climate controls to turn on the Front defroster, and that never seems to work — every time I try to remote start the car, the car starts but the Front defroster does not.

    How do I fix this?

    Did you enable custom climate settings in the top right corner of the screen? I'm going from memory because I'm not currently paying for remote connect, but I think there's a button/slider in the upper right that needs to be selected for the custom settings to be used.

    Just know that using custom climate settings will cancel heated seats during remote start. So you have the choice of warm seats or a clear windshield/rear window when you get in the car.
