Hi there, I have 1 published post and 1 awaiting approval. It's been 2 hours. Is there a reason why it's not getting approved?
welcome! the mod may be busy. report your post and it might grab his attention. keep osting as well, it is helpful to have more than five.
We are down to just one active moderator, who doesn't actually own the forum and has a life separate from it. So moderation can be very slow. Even my major area newspaper, with a much larger team of moderators for its comments sections, can take overnight.
Does this place still have only one mod? I don't want to nag but having to wait for your posts to show isn't very inviting for new folks.
Functionally speaking, we still have only one moderator. While I believe others still share that title, they are not active anymore.
Yes. My apologies for not getting to the moderated posts quickly but I do check multiple times a day. And it’s not like new people only posts at certain times of the day. I just never know how many are awaiting approval every time I log on. That and going through every one to check if it’s spam. And then any reports that also come in.
1.5 days, still awaiting moderation on my new post. Hope you can get to it soon. Thanks for all you do.
