I have always kept the Drive Mode in "Eco", on the theory that I'll get the best mileage.

When I have the A/C & heat off (just using vent), the Eco Climate setting is on, and it seems to reduce the air flow, which I find annoying -- as does the Toyota's System of giving me a terrible Climate Control score when I'm just venting in air with the temperature all the way down and AUTO off -- this should be the BEST score, not the worst, as the car isn't doing any work except running the fan.

As for EV modes, I have HV/EV and EV Auto / Norm

I use EV slow speeds and have greatly increased my EV mileage by changing to HV for high-speed driving (55 or higher). It uses a lot of electricity to accelerate from a stop up to 55.

European cars have HV/EV and EV City.

EV City is like EV, but ICE will nerer kick in, even if you floor it, and power il limited to 40kWh instead of the usual 60kWh.

I switch to HV mode when the posted speed limit is above 45 (70 km/h) and yes, acceleration and uphill is an open tap.

I notice a difference, but it could be a EUR/US difference or the 2020 refresh agorithm update.

Have you tried while driving 40 - 50 kmh on the flat in ECO and tap the Mode button twice to Power without moving the Go Pedal?
That when I notice it most. Sometimes it takes a few seconds before the car lurches for me.
